webOS 3.0.4 update stopped Crosswords working
Crosswords now has problems since I upgraded to webOS 3.0.4 on
my Touchpad. Upon load, screen stays at 'loading' animation. I was
able to get the puzzle list to open from the top left menu, but
then the list is now empty and downloading hangs. I tapped the plus
sign and the dialog shows no actual calendar. Please help. Need an
update to my favorite app. I'm already "jonesin'!"

Command ⌘ instead of
Control ^ on Mac

It sounds like your database has been corrupted. Try deleting and re-installing the app via the App Catalog, and that should fix the problem (although, unfortunately you will lose all of your current puzzles and puzzle progress). Our apologies for the inconvenience!

Actually I already tried that right after posting the problem here - no change. Any thing else can be done?

Are you sure that you deleted the app before re-installing it? Have you installed Crosswords v.2.0.3?

Yes, I used the Software Manager to delete the application first. Then I re-downloaded it from the App Catalog. After it installed, I launched it - same problem.

Unfortunately, we're unable to recreate this problem, and you're the first who has reported this issue after upgrading to 3.0.4. When you opened it after deleting, did you receive an 'Initializing the Database' or 'Importing 1 of 40 puzzles' notice while it's loading?
Can you open up the Preferences & Accounts popover via the menu? If so, try tapping on Send Feedback and send us an email, so we can make sure the proper version has been installed.

Everything is working fine now. My Touchpad locked up completely after last comment so I had to let the battery run down and then recharge. After restarting, Crosswords loaded up fine with the "Initializing database..." message and all is well again. Thank you for such prompt responses, by the way. :-P
