Rebus entries in in Crosswords Classice using iphone

Hi -

Just as the subject indicates, I'm using the most recent version of Crosswords Classic. I accidentally stumbled upon the ability to make rebus entries but, no matter how many variations I try, I can't recreate the magic. Can someone help me out? I've tried everything I can think of! Thanks!

    Brendan,
    It's a little tricky, but:

    • press and hold to bring up the loupe (magnifying glass)
    • tap the 'edge' of the loupe
