Did you end up fixing the NYT Provider validation problem? I have the Mac version and can't access NYT crosswords through the provider feature. It won't validate. Thanks!

The authentication problem was actually a glitch on the New York Times' end. If you have a Home Delivery account, and you're still encountering authorization problems, we suggest that you follow the instructions in this NYT Crosswords blog post:
If you have a Reader account, then unfortunately it appears that the New York Times is no longer allows Reader users to access the Premium Crosswords section via the website - you can only access them via the Reader app. Consequently, your Reader credentials will also no longer work in Crosswords. Sorry!
If you have a specific Premium Crosswords account, and still cannot download puzzles, please reply to this email. Thanks!
