iPad app freezes
I first purchased Crosswords lite for the original iPad and then
upgraded it to the regular version via in-app purchase. I then got
an
iPad 2 And when I tried to run it it seemed to think it was the
lite version even though the upgrade screen was grayed out. So I
went to download it again from the app store and it did download
but it charged me. It never said I'd already purchased it. It also
created a second icon So when I run it and then try to download an
LAT or Houston Chronicle puzzle, after i finish getting the
puzzles, I close the browser that allowed me to get the puzzles and
the screen is dimmed and the app is unresponsive. I have to kill it
and when it restarts, none of the puzzles I tried to get are there.
This used to function properly on the iPad 1.
So, if I do find out I was charged twice, can I get a refund for
one of the charges and
How can I fix the freezing issue.
Thanks

Due to the nature of in-app purchases, you need to re-download the in-app purchases in the app. In Crossword Light you can do this by tapping on the '+' button on the puzzle list screen, then tap 'Check for Purchases'.
To receive a refund for your double-charge, please follow the instructions in this Apple support article:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1933
Please note: there is an iPad iOS 4.3 bug in Crossword Light that also affects the in-app Crosswords upgrade which prevents you from opening the app's Settings. We've submitted a fix to the App Store, and hopefully it will be available soon. Our apologies for the inconvenience!

Concerning the puzzle import problem that you've encountered, this is also an iPad iOS 4.3 bug and is fixed in the next version. Until then, we suggest that you use Safari, iTunes or email yourself Across Lite puzzles that you want to import. Again, our apologies for the inconvenience!
