Unable to download new version
For several weeks now, my iPhone and iPad have been telling me that there is an update to download of this app (which I love). However, when I click on the update button, it fails to download. I have tried several times a day on both devices. How can I get the latest update?

Joan,
The first thing to try is restarting your device(s). That usually clears out any kinks in the system.

Nice theory, but no go. It still refuses to update. I've successfully
updated dozens of other apps, so I doubt the problem is with my device
anyhow. More advice?

Are you trying to download from the App Store?

Yes. That's where I got the automatic notice that a new version was
available.

I'm afraid you'll need to contact App Store support, then; we have no control over that.

Your link directed me to the Mac App Store, which is not relevant (and I
never use; I have a PC, which I am using now). This is for your app
"Crosswords Classic" which I used chiefly on my iPad, though it's also
installed on my iPhone (this happened automatically, not by choice -- I
couldn't possibly do a crossword on a phone!).

Oops, sorry about that. Here's the iOS link: https://www.apple.com/support/itunes/apps/
If you don't mind losing past puzzles, you can simply delete the app and re-download it, 99 times out of a hundred, that fixes the issue.
