Palm Backup Program

Hi. I delayed trying out the Palm Backup/Restore utility for YEARS...until a new, refurbished Tungsten C lost ALL data for no reason at all (not dropped; battery half-full). So, decided to set up a 1GB SD card, and try out your program. I backed up EVERYTHING from Tungsten C #1...then tried to RESTORE everything to 'empty' [reset\ Tungsten #2. Even after 'restore': no Datebook or Phone or To Do or Memo data is there....

Sorry: it's an older program that you might no longer support. Just wanted to try that on a trial basis, to see if it's worth buying. Any suggestions?

Yes, I have a smartphone; however for simplicity and referencing older tel.contacts, Palm's still useful. I'd love to see if your Palm backup program can restore ALL Palm data; back up to SD card daily; and then be able to restore everything from SD card, if/when the sudden data erasure recurs. Would love to hear to hear your suggestions, at [email blocked].

                    Many thanks,

                              - Bob D.

I noticed the automatic reply; however am not sure what 'Auto Slate Conduit' is. I simply wanted to restore a Tungsten C backup to the same item, via JUST RightBackup on an SD card. Is it possible/easy to do so? (I just need the Datebook & Tel. Contacts & To Do list & Memos.)

Thanks for yout time. If you no longer support this decade-old progrma, no problem. On the other hand, if you can suggest a fix, and if that works, I'd be glad to buy the program.

       Thanks,

                   - Bob D.

    Bob,
I believe that in later versions of Palm OS, there were 'shadow' databases that could sometimes confuse back up apps. There may be options within Right Back Up, but I'm afraid I can't help you very much; I don't even have a computer I can open that code on any more. Sorry!

    Ben
