I can download puzzles from Cruciverb but can’t get them into Crosswords. It was easy on the iPad Air,. With the iPad 7, I can do "open file" and navigate to Downloads in iCloud but can’t open the mn crosswords.

Specifically which Crosswords app are you using: Crosswords Classic or Crosswords for iOS?

I’m using it on an iPad, so it must be Crosswords for iOS. iPad IOS to be specific.

Both Crosswords Classic and Crosswords for iOS are available for iPad. Please see http://standalone.com/iphone/crosswords/support to discern which app you're using.

Thanks! I can make the screen on the left appear but not the screen on the right, so it looks like I’m using Crosswords rather than Crosswords Classic.

    Dave,
Sorry for the delayed response! We just released a new build (2020.3) that should help with importing issues.

    Thanks!

    Ben
